Motivation? How to stay motivated?
We hear the word 'Motivation' almost every day by someone and if reading a good book even if it's a fantasy novel we can find this word. But, What this word exactly means? and why if I want to do something I have to stay motivated?
Let's see what is motivation almost all knows the meaning of it. It's like an energy drink but for your mind. When doing something we feel that we are tired we drink an energy drink to do our work again with overflowing energy but do you know that this energy drink just works for your body....what about your mind? Let me tell you if you give a drink to your mind you don't need that energy drink at the first place and that energy drink for the mind is 'MOTIVATION'.
Some of you think that if I'm tired, it's about my body, my body is suffering why my mind involves in this matter?
when your body feels tired your mind tells you to stop and you know that you are tired. But when you drink energy drink your body feels great your and thus your mind feels good it tells you to do more. and this is the reason why you should give this motivation drink to your mind instead of the energy drink to your body. And the second reason is energy drink costs and this mind drink is free of cost so which one do you prefer?
So, now you know the importance of motivation the next question comes to your mind is how to get it whenever you need it? cause energy drink is available to you as long as you can pay for it and take it anytime. So, How to Stay Motivated?
There are some techniques which I'm using and some which I'm going to use or thinking to try out.
-> Wake Up Early: Waking up early is the first and best way to stay motivated. When the start of your day is good then your whole day will be good. Waking up early seems boring and not necessary to lazy people and unmotivated people who don't want to do anything but when you want to do something and you are finding a drink for your mind it's the best choice you can have. When you wake up early it feels refreshed and when you are waking up before everyone else you get the test of winning. These both things give a boost to your mind and give feeling like you can conquer the world now. And this the reason for which you give all you have to what you want to do.
-> Do Exercise: You already has made your drink for your mind but if you want to reserve that drink to use it later you have to do some extra work in the form of exercise doing exercise does affect your mind a little but affects your body mainly. Now, go to the story why you need the energy drink? cause you are tired but if you do exercise every morning you will be energetic whole day then you don't need any energy drink. you find yourself doing the hardest part of your work doing easily. Of course, it won't give you the noticeable result on the first day or when you have just started, but if you make a routine like this you will find your self highly motivated and more energetic in your work.
-> Meditation: Some people thinks what meditation and motivation have to do with each other? They both start with the same character 'M'. (just kidding). We are talking about motivation and motivation is related to mind and meditation is the best way to keep your mind in good condition this is the relation it has with meditation. Doing meditation make your mind stronger it gives you more calm attitude. The calmness of your mind gives you high motivation because it increases the strength of your mind and positivity in your thoughts.
-> Write a Diary: When you complete the things I have mentioned above you have to make a plan for your day. List out the things you must do today and what you want to do. Set small goals for a day and try to succeed if you get success, then that success will be work as motivation for you. When you go to sleep read what you did at the end of the day. and what else you have written in your diary.
-> Read Books: There are many motivational writers who have written many books to motivate yourself. The best time to read it is before sleep. Read one chapter a day when you focus on doing something with your heart everything will happen to motivate you.
-> Set Checkpoints: After starting doing this you have to check whether it is working it or not and for checking that you have to make checkpoints in your schedule. The best checkpoints you can make is weekly. At the end of the week check the progress you have made, what you have learned in this week by doing this you find out that the things you have changed in your life are affecting and you are getting more and more near to what you want. And this will be enough to motivate you for doing the same for another week.
-> Try to learn something new every day: Well it's optional though cause you will obviously learn something new by doing above things but if you want to make your observation skill sharp then you should try to find out at the end of the day that what new you have learned from what you have done.
So, these are the points or techniques I'm using and it works for me perfectly. If you want to know it can work for you or not then try it for a week and see....
