SMBs have an important opportunity to realize cost savings and greater efficiency by joining this new wave of connectivity. The pace of technological innovation has never been faster, and it can feel overwhelming at times. But it's important for small and midsize businesses (SMBs) to keep up with developments so they can identify and harness the ones that provide significant benefits to their enterprises. The Internet of Things (IoT) certainly falls into that category. IoT includes everyday devices that connect to the internet, sending and receiving data. This offers new potential for devices to report on various business conditions or circumstances and either adjusting systems or signaling necessary action, potentially saving time and money. IoT opens up big data to small business Read The Full Article

That was the question Facebook executive Regina Dugan, who runs the company’s secretive research and hardware lab Building 8, posed to the audience Wednesday at the company’s annual F8 developer conference in San Jose. The question was not meant to be rhetorical. Dugan and Facebook are actually making technology intended to do just that. Facebook is building what it calls a “brain-computer speech-to-text interface,” technology that’s supposed to translate your thoughts directly from your brain to a computer screen without any need for speech or fingertips. Every one want to succeed in their interest fields and wants to achieve many other things in life. But the success don't come to you by itself. You have to do some small commitments in your life to achieve big goals of your life.  I read many articles from various sites to find out which commitments are needed to be done to succeed. At the end of this article i provided the links of those sites. Let's start with the first commitment to succeed. 1) Set your Goal: To get succeeded in life you can't run without any purpose or agenda or GOAL. And for setting a goal ask these questions to yourself...  What do you want to be in future? Why you want to be? Is it enough for you in future whatever you are doing now? What type of person you want to be? Which level of person you want to go in future? What is the thing or person that matters more to you than anything else? Don't set your goal to very low. Aim high as you can. Make a plan on "how do you...

Personally, I’m amazed at the technology we have available to us. It’s astounding to have the power to retrieve almost any information and communicate in a thousand different ways using a device that fits in your pocket. There’s always something new on the horizon, and we can’t help but wait and wonder what technological marvels are coming next. The way I see it, there are seven major tech trends we’re in store for in 2017. If you’re eyeing a sector in which to start a business, any of these is a pretty good bet. If you're already an entrepreneur, think about how you can leverage these technologies to reach your target audience in new ways.

An end to Moore's Law will prompt chipmakers to think outside the box and pave the future of computing, suggests a prominent computer scientist. D umping Moore's Law is perhaps the best thing that could happen to computers, as it'll hasten the move away from an aging computer architecture holding back hardware innovation. That's the view of prominent scientist R. Stanley Williams, a senior fellow in the Hewlett Packard Labs. Williams played a key role in the creation of  the memristor  by HP in 2008. Moore's Law is an observation made by Intel co-founder Gordon Moore in 1965 that has helped make devices smaller and faster. It predicts that the density of transistors would double every 18 to 24 months, while the cost of making chips goes down. Read more..

You may expect that success will come fast (or not at all). You may see entrepreneurship as an easy way to get rich. But these assumptions are false. Entrepreneurship is romanticized in our culture, and it’s easy to see why: We live in a capitalistic society that values the creation of ideas, the unlimited potential of business and of course the prestige of attaining wealth and power. On top of that, we have entrepreneurial celebrities like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg inspiring countless waves of new entrepreneurs striving to achieve the same level of success they did. That is a good thing -- mostly: Startups drive economic growth, and the entrepreneurial journey is valuable in almost any future application. However, too many young people (and people new to business ownership) end up being in over their heads because they believed in these common entrepreneurial misconceptions: 1. Entrepreneurs are born to lead. Read Full Article

Emeritus Professor Wanda Lewis in the School of Engineering has taken a design process called 'form-finding', inspired by the natural world, to another level. Form-finding enables the design of rigid structures that follow a strong natural form -- structures that are sustained by a force of pure compression or tension, with no bending stresses, which are the main points of weakness in other structures. This could, for the first time, lead to the design of bridges and buildings that can take any combination of permanent loading without generating complex stresses. Such structures will have enhanced safety, and long durability, without the need for repair or restructuring. Read More...

You could soon watch 3D videos on your Android without any special glasses using the new displays developed by scientists. You could soon watch 3D videos on your smartphone without any special eyewear, thanks to scientists who have developed a way to make displays for small screen devices that offer both 2D and 3D imaging. For eyewear-free displays, the only action is behind the screen where the image’s pixels and optics are layered together to produce the stereoscopic effect. The two primary ways of producing these optically illusive effects are by using either an array of micro-lenses, called lenticular lenses, or an array of micro-filters, called parallax barriers, in front of the image to make its appearance depend on the angle at which it is being seen. read more..

Free-software community Mozilla on Tuesday announced the launch of its global "Equal Rating Innovation Challenge" “This challenge is designed to spur innovations for bringing the members of the next billion online,” said Katharina Borchert, Chief Innovation Officer, Mozilla, in a statement. According to the data from a 2014 McKinsey report, India comes under the “Medium-High” category of regions facing barriers for Internet adoption. Broadly, the challenges are due to lack of incentives and infrastructure as well as mixed demographics. “Connecting the unconnected is one of the greatest challenges of our time,” Borchert added.                                                 Click here for submission read for more info

Car Info Vehicle Registration Finding the details of an errant driver on the road is a pain, but a new app aims to make the process easier. Named 'car Info Vehicle Registration', the app can be used to find the details of all types of vehicles registered with the Regional Transport Office of India (RTO India), including cars, motorcycles, autos, trucks, etc. After entering the registration number of the vehicle, you can find details such as the owner's name, date and city of registration, vehicle class, make & model, age, fuel type, engine number, and chassis number. The data is seemingly extracted from public records; however, the easy availability of the engine and chassis number may be a cause of concern for some. There is no associated address or phone number on the app.
